Over the past few years, I have been associated with projects in Northeast and Central India to train and mentor local and indigenous storytellers in photography and videography.
I am an independent journalist and cinematographer based in New Delhi, India.
I work regularly for Al Jazeera, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, ORF, Vice, Channel Nine (Australia), Discovery Channel and various other broadcasters and agencies of the UN.

Nagaland is Changing. But...
The farmers in a few villages in Nagaland, India have been conserving the forest on their private land for the past 15 years. No one is allowed to enter the community forest that is spread over 23 square kilometers. There is a strict ban on hunting, fishing, logging and collection of minor forest produce like honey and medicinal plants etc. The village court fines anyone who is caught breaking the law.
The results are for everyone to see.
Small story of a BIG pipeline
In the remote desert of Rajasthan, India, a company found huge reserve of waxy crude oil that would freeze and turn solid at 40 degrees. To transport it to the refineries, Cairn Energy constructed the world's longest heated pipeline that runs across 700 plus kms. This pipeline is considered as a technological marvel

Driven from Within
In the far-flung villages of India, where even the state has a limited presence, a few dedicated professionals can be seen braving the hostile terrain. These professionals have graduated from the best institutions of the country. They have been specially trained to end poverty and discrimination in the poorest and most marginalized communities in India. Their dream is to transform the lives of the rural poor and create a just and equitable society.
Heat Stress- Learning to adapt before it gets too hot
The Earth is getting hotter. On an average, it is already 0.8 degrees hotter than what it used to be in the pre-industrial times. And it doesn’t stop here. Studies indicate that it will further heat up by 2 degrees or more by the end of this century. But what does it really mean for us?
